2011 5.0 Mustang runs 14's not 11's or 10's

I was at KCIR a few weeks ago and witnessed this over and over, so i had to get a video to share with all the new 5.0 nuttswingers. It takes a professional driver for a magazine to run decent times but when you get the average joe behind the wheel this is what happens. I thought i'd add to the number of "2011 5.0" threads out there as well.

Seriously. Go find a buddy of yours with a 2011, give me an hour to drive the car around, and I'll GUARAN-DAMN-TEE I run a 13.0 or better. Some of us can drive...and call me cocky but I know I can drive.

I don't think their as quick as the mags claim....and according the that dyno vid their kinda slow fo 400rwhp.. After a tune it makes more rwhp than my botl-on crate ls6....all I have to say is from the 5.0 times is ....their gonna need another 50 rwhp to run with me.

Don't get me wrong, i have been impressed with what i've seen some of these 5.0's do. I just got a kick out of this guy running high 13's and 14's allll night....plus he was talking **** to everyone that pulled up next to him in the staging lane, then runs a 14.

It is kind of pointless... Anyone can screw up a run or just be a shitty shitty driver.
I like how earlier this year Motor Trend had the Camaro SS reigning supreme, now that the 11 GT is out they put the Camaro under the SRT-8 Challenger. I've lost all respect for Motor Trend... One month they like something then the next they don't. Retards

all ya gotta do is spin a little and the run is ruined.
put DR's on it and drive away. 275/50/15 dot pro's or equivilent will do the job. no more spinning.

just because one guy gets behind the wheel at the drag strip and doesnt run the times a professional driver has ran, doesnt mean that ALL those cars will run 14's.

I have seen C6 Z06's run 14's all day long
and I have seen others run low 11's bone stock.
your point? everyone is different. How do you not know that maybe this is the guys first standard car? there is plenty of variables behind it.

This seems to be the case at my local strip... someone brings out a brand new Corvette or Viper, can't drive for ****, and runs 14s all night.
A big wallet doesn't usually translate into increased driver skills. Just because you spend $30k on a new Mustang GT doesn't guarantee you'll be going any faster than an old LT1 car...
