Default My 2011 5.0 Goes 12.3 @ 110 in the 1/4

I know some of you do not care because it is a mustang but, I also know a lot of you can appreciate a nice fast clean car.

My wife and I test drove both the 2011 GT and the 2010 Camaro SS. Ended up going with the GT mainly because the interior in our opinion was well put together, and the performance felt about the same.

Onto the track pass:

Thanks for all the compliments guys. This car truly is very nice. I still wish the wife would have let me purchase a vette instead though hahaha.

Very nice run, and your's isn't exactly light for an '11 GT. If you don't mind me asking, is there a particular reason ya'll chose to go with the 3.31s instead of the 3.73s?

great times im really liking the new 5.0's.
i really want one and i built on on fords site with just about everything you can get on it and it was 45k!
i can get a year or two old z06 for that.
maybe once they get a few years old and i hate to say it i would pick the 5.0 over a new ss

Haha IF they ever actually make the damn car... And when they do it will be a competitor for the gt500 not the gt, that will still be the ss vs the gt

The only reason behind the gears is that I just strolled up to the dealership and that is what they had on that lot and it was close enough to what I wanted. So my wife and I didn't order this particular car. I had one on order for nearly 3.5 months and I was tired of waiting for it so we just bought this one instead.

I weighed 165lbs more than a GT premium did at the track. So it is a pig for a mustang.

Well (not to bench-race, but I can't help it) it's definitely not out of the question then for a 6spd manual with 3.73s and few options to hit 11s with those same mods. Awesome

I was hearing some "clunking" coming from the rear today as I was driving spiritedly around town. I split a lower control arm bushing. I guess it is time for some suspension work! BMR here I come.
