Some HDR pictures of the cars at home
Let me know what you guys think. My brother just loves to shoot all kinds of different things. And he really caught my eyes when he started to do some stuff with the cars.

I really like the engine shot for some reason, even though it makes it look dirty, it's still sweet.
Then, the picture of the chevelle looks like a painting, not a picture. Pretty sweet! I wish I had an amazing camera...

Those are not even close to reaL HDR photos, that or u put them in a HDR program and maxed them out which is far from what HDR is...lol
Cool photos though still, really like the engine bay shot.

This may not be 100% accurate, but it's made of two or three photos taken with high and low exposure rates and then they are merged to make an image with really high contrast. You can fake it in photoshop using some aftermarket filters, or a series of the filters photoshop already comes with.
Most HDR pics look pretty crappy unless a tripod is used, because it's hard to line up the shots 100% otherwise, which can make the picture look blurry.
Here's an especially nice one from flickr:

An HDR photo is usually 3-5(xx) amount of photos at different levels of exposure (usually -2,-1,0,1,2) where you try to catch all the colors that would be missed or drowned out by only having one exposure. All the pictures listed so far in this thread are very radical HDR's.

Every single picture in this thread is a terrible HDR exposure. Its like halfway HDR and then going hogwild on the post processing. It shouldn't look like the picture is on fire and make your pupils dilate.

Is a combination of different exposures to maximize the detail and clarity of a scene where there are extreme overexposed and underexposed areas.
Those are just overprocessed and agree that the most interesting is the engine one. HDR is a fad that has been quite played out in recent years.
