If the Camaro would have hooked for the 1/4 mile it woulda been over for the Mustang.

But yes, the prices are attractive. I think my SS brand new was priced at $28k though.

Yup cause we all know that LS1s run 13.8s......

Definitely traction limited considering my 2.73 A4 Trans Am went 13.50s 100% bone stock with yokohamas, and 13.30s with a lid and some nittos (which didnt do much).

13.8s? Is the cobra a 13.8 car? is that what your saying? If a stock ls1 ran a 13.8 I would have to say the d/a was high.
My car did 12.6 with only mods in sig and stock stall. But the da was good of course. Hell, the car did a 13.1 in 2500 da last summer with same mods on yokahoma s drive street tires.

And just for the record the car was always 2 tenths faster than the new 5.0s fact.

I edited my post. I was talking about my Trans Am. I was just giving him a hard time about his "riiight" comment. We all know that was a sad performance by the SS and a solid performance by the Cobra. Most stock 98 Cobras I've seen at the track are struggling to make it into the 13s period.

Haha it's motor week none of those guys can drive, the editors are better off just writing the stories instead of driving.

Haha its all good and I agree with you that most stock 98 cobra's can barely make it into the 13's because most people don't know how to drive them properly, I have seen a lot of ls1 cars run high 13's also with bolt ons as I'm sure you have too. The majority of people don't know how to drive a car to its full potential.

FWIW I ran 13.3 w/ 2.0 60' in my cobra that had just a k/n filter and mid-pipe. Then added 4.10 gears and went 12.89 w/ 1.9 60'. A properly driven 96-98 cobra will give a ls1 a good run.

That guy on youtube really has an awesome collection of videos. Especially the older stuff like Car and Track. Its cool to see how they did a road test on a brand new GT500 and to see how bad the brakes were lol. Even better, he has a Pontiac promo video on a 6000 SE, what pos that car was.
