My friend has a '99 Saleen that looks just like that. It put down 185rwhp.
Very clean looking car though.

I THOUGHT Saleens were quick? I havent raced one but A buddy of mine had one years ago. Before i was really into racing, he took me for a race and I thought it was the quickest thing out there. And yes we did win each and every race.

Although 185 rwhp is VERRRRRY PATHETIC in a sup'ed up 'stang.

And the Saleens arent exactly cheap either

I think he's joking about the 185 hp. A 99 GT will put down at least 230. The Sloween will add a little more because of the cat back an fuel system tweaking. The Saleen cars with blowers are faster .... not by much though. I'll take an 03-04 Cobra thank you.

Well my buddy with the saleen and I graduated from UTI and when we were in SLP class we dynoed it and it pulled 260 RWHP and 263 RWTQ I thought it wasnt that bad for a bone stock 4.6L SOHC. And then I dynoed a 2002 Mustang GT with Cold Air Intake, MAF, Throttle body and Magnaflow Exhaust and we bearly got 223 RWHP and it really pissed me off because all the Import heads in our class started to make fun of american V8.

No, I wasn't joking. I'm dead serious. It made 185rwhp on a chassis dyno. IMO, Saleen is a joke. They charge a fotune for body kits and blown 2V's that have limited potential and their work is subpar. There are a few '03 Saleen Cobras out there. They are horribly over priced. Let's not even get into the $60K S281-E.

I still think they are cool looking cars. Here's one with some ***** that my buddy's shop built...

It's actually a totalled out GT that a guy from Wisconsin dumped some money into. The motor is extremely built. It can handle much more boost and tons more power. I think 700rwhp is decent though It sounds phenominal in person. The BOV rocks!

i regret saying this but i cam close to trading my camaro in for one of those it was a silver 01 281-sc one with 10,000 for 19000 it sounded a little fishy so it went for a test drive, long story short it had a warped axles, and a blown gear, hahahahahahaha

Unit123. .. The old fox bod mustangs put down 180 rwhp. If you are speaking of the 96-98 Saleen 185 rwhp makes sense. You should have waited for the C6

Nope, it was definitely a '99 Saleen that cranked out a whopping 185rwhp.

Why deprive myself of speed until then? I kind of like having a daily driver that'll beat almost anything on the road. I'm going to get a LS7 in the future.

the cars aren't fast, but 185 is way low IMO
