Default David Blaine Rawks

Here's a little vid I put together with clips from David Blaine's show on TLC.

If you don't know who he is.....he's a badass magician.

Cool, but a lot of the things he does its easy to figure out how he did it. Like the menu one on the table with the kinfe. The guy who handed him the menu hid the card in it. When david grabbed it, his hand covered the card, then it was just a matter of stabbing the table when his hand was when he put down the menu.

As for the levitation, well thats just dumb...

Sorry, im just not a big believer of "magic"

I don't think anyone believes in actual magic, but tricks like that, especially card tricks, are pretty cool, I've always enjoyed them. But that levitation crap is pretty stupid.

I couldn't open the video(I'm at work now), but I recall him standing in front (outside) of a restaurant with a deck of cards. A passerby chose a card from the deck. The card was reinserted in the deck. Blaine wound up like he was going to pitch a baseball and threw the deck at the restaurant window. The card that the passerby had chosen ended up sticking to the INSIDE of the window facing out so that everyone could verify that it was the chosen card!!

The levitation trick is all in the angles. You must be wearing long pants,
and you must turn so the audience is at your back and to the side.
Now, whatever side the audience is, you're going to step up onto the
opposite toe. If behind you to the left, lift up onto your right toe.
Keep your left foot flat, it will look like it's been lifted up. Your left
leg and pants are enough to hide your right tow still being on the ground.
You can't get very high up, or they will see your right foot flexing.

I figured this one out on my own, then verified it on some magic hoax
website thing.

Some of the video they used in that Dave Blaine special was indeed
trickery. The shot where he lifts up about 8-10 inches, he's being pulled
up by wires, and they edited them out.

I thought it was pretty damn cool. I like the part where he throws the deck, and the dood's card is on the inside of the window, as somebody previously mentioned.

That **** is crazy.

He's not on one toe, and judging by the chick's reactions, he doesn't have cables either, unless the chicks are acting.

The levitation is easy to do. When I first saw it I was Amazed!!! It's a simple ballet releve ( French for to rise ). Turn diagnal to whoever is watching you with your back facing them and rise RISE I SAY! Too easy.

Neat tricks... but pretty dumb if you try to make them seem like they were done through "magic". And its pathetic that TLC would fake levitate him with wires, then edit them out, and have actors do the reactions. Actually, when you watch the three women react, I couldn't tell if it was from amazement, or laughter.

Magic can involve slight of hand. Magic can also be 'magic'-those things that can't be explained or categorized. And, sometimes, magic can be true control over one's KI (key/lifeforce). It's not that unusual for someone to possess these attributes. It is unusual as in the case of David Blaine to EXHIBIT these. His act consists of part sleight of hand, and also a rudimentary, concious control of his lifeforce. I was not there live for his video, but I've experienced these things up close enough to know that they're tangible.

The restaurant trick was an easy one too. He distracts the bystanders right before he throws the cards to allow for an "assistant" (that inside the restaurant) to stick a duplicate card on the window.

They are all just slight of hand tricks. But they are still cool to watch. I liked it when in the middle of one trick, he stole the guys watch and gave it back to him.

for everyone that says the levitation is easy, please explain how he does it. And no I don't believe that they edited out cables. And you can clearly see he's not on his toes.
