Got to tinker some today. Switched from a Chrs1313 AC ram air to a SSRA Megamouth (non-AC) ram air

Cut out the lower radiator support. It was worth 5lbs. The edges of the bracket are still strong enough for an adult male to hang from. I'm gonna run some aluminum flat bar across to give the air dam something to mount to.

All that work should get you into the 10s now. Might be a stupid question, but how will you have the radiator in there now? Also, how do you like the coilovers on the street? I've been thinking of doing the same soon.

Selling that chris1313?? Lol.

Yes the 1313 is for sale.

If you look at the lower radiator support, the rubber bumper for the driver's side and the hole for the pin style mount on the passenger side have been left intact. Imagine, the radiator is supported on the ends only, and if it was say 28 inches wide, and you cut out the center of the support rail say 24 inches that still leaves 2 inches of mounting on each end. So the mounting of the radiator isn't effected. In the first pic you can see the rubber holder on the far edge to the left, and on the right the hole is what holds that side.

The coilovers have been great. They ride nice, even on full drag settings. I'm glad I bought them. The front end lifts a LOT now.

Damn Steve you really shed some weight out of that thing! I been thinking about more weight reduction myself. How much of a PITA is it to delete air bags and ABS?

I tried that big SSRA once but didn't like how it was blocking the radiator plus it wouldn't work with the massive trans cooler I got there now. I'm just running the ac version SSRA.

The abs isnt too bad if you use an sjm kit to start and I converted mine to swagelok fittings because the double flares just werent happening for me. Ive gotta thread on that. The airbags, the driver is usually done with a new steering wheel and the passenger one requires the dash the be removed.

I was concerned with the air going around the radiator since the condenser was gone. So I fabbed up a couple pieces out of ABS, pictured here plus the hole I was facing.

I agree. But I realized something. I generally dont drive it if it's over about 80 something and then when I do I roll the windows down and dont turn on the ac even when i had it. I drive the car about twice a month so in all honesty I wont notice it missing.

I hear you. I'm about the same way but last year I was out at a cruise night and it started raining. It was about 85 too and that was when I realized I needed to keep my A/C. Nice progress btw, 10's are right around the corner!
