My journey to the summit of Pike's Peak
Had the opportunity to drive Pike's Peak Highway this past Saturday. It's mostly pavement now, but I had set a goal to get up it this summer before they pave it completely. It was 81 degrees in Colorado Springs and 46 degrees at the top. We were above some clouds, and there was part of the mountain where the clouds were rolling off and heading upward. Truly an awesome drive that any car guy should take if given the chance!
All pics were taken with my HTC Evo, sized down from 3264 x 1952. Enjoy!

Guy driving down yelled "Don't jump!" when I was taking this
Ranger told us there were 160 turns in the climb.

I drove a gubment f350 up while I was tdy at Peterson. Its was May, and we were wearing shorts and sandles. But when we got to the top, it was snowing. We couldn't go to the very top since it was iced over but we made it to 14k ft. It Was truly awesome. No camara can capture a descent pic of what you really see.
