Here is a quick explaination. If you granny it, it wont barely move. You give it more gas, it slams you in the seat and everyone stares.

That's a pretty good clip for giving an idea how a torque converter acts on the street. What gears and stall is that? (Edit: Nevermind, just saw your sig.)

I've got an in-car vid at the track as part of a collection (6MB or so) I put together a couple weeks ago.

That's a really cool video, great editing and I loved how the song faded out most of the way so you could hear the car over it. Who's orange TA is that? Do you happen to have any big pictures for a nice desktop or anything of it.

It's not like that at all. It takes more gas and rpms to get the car moving, but it's easily controllable. You'll still have to floor the car if you want it to really take off. My flash stall is around 4200, and it's hardly even noticeable to me anymore.

On a stock LS1 it should be ~3800. More serious mods like heads/cam/full exhaust push it up even higher.

hahaha, that bird was a good shot, Sam.

72firebird- You can see if there's anything on my site that will work, I know he was wanting me to keep some higher rez pics on there of his car. If not, I'm sure he'd be more than happy to hook you up with some, he's a really cool guy. Just shoot me a PM if you need something bigger, and I'll give him your contact info.
