The guy in the gold needs to work on his shifting. The car is a quick car but it'd be quicker without the grinding going into gears.

Doesn't matter how good you shift. If your syncros aren't meshing it's going to grind. I've driven, and ridden in high HP imports that grinded no matter what on quick shifts.

There is a new VW Golf out called the R32 that comes with a 3.2 6cyl AWD that is rated at 240hp and does 14.8's stock. There is a turbo kit for it that supposedly puts it over 500 hp and runs in the 11.4's.

I cant wait to get a vid of me smoking this guy that I work with that has a high 11 second Golf. Everybody always talks about how fast his car is and how it could beat mine. He actually never talks his up, smart guy. Well cant wait to see the look on his face when I spray a 250 shot on him.

The motor was laid to rest on the road after some thousand miles and i think he got a fresh slug, which put down 400whp no bottle. I think he got like 20K out of the old motor.

Now realize this is in a gen4 golf. This motor fits in a mk1 rabbit which stripped would weigh about 1400lbs.

I believe billy sold the car and is in a mk2 golf now, more like 2200lbs. should be utter hell on wheels with a lightweight chassis and big turbo 1.8 motor.

fwiw, some of these guys are crazy. the motor is 9.5 or 9.3:1, at peak torque (stock turbo,chipped) they are at 14:1 to 15:1 air fuel while laying down 240-250wft/lbs @3000rpm (Stock turbo). I still haven't figured out how the motor doesn't frag when it does this. 9.3:1 compression, 21psi, 3000rpm's, 14:1 air fuel.... makes no sense, except vw has a really f'ing good PENT chamber that doesn't detonate.

billy's first motor iirc, had forged crank/rods. The newer 1.8T's have forged NOTHING, all cast. and yeah they do make 400-450whp still.

never underestimate someone thats got the ballz to push the limits werd.

now if he can just come over to the fbody world, and make a motor 3X bigger boost out to 1200whp using his ghetto trickey, that would be something
