Talking Dyno results from today with a TSP 228 Cam, graph and video inside

A local shop was having a dyno day and i decided to ride out and see what was going on and after watching everyone make pulls i decided to through mine on there.

Mods:
BBK Intake manifold
SLP Lid & bellow
Tsp 228 Cam & supporting mods
KooKs LT & ORY
ASP Underdrive Pulley
Diamond stage 3 Clutch with light weight fly wheel
Tuned with HPTuners by a friend and I

This is the second pull, he let off at 6000 rpm made 390rwhp and 381 tq


Third pull he let off at 6400 rpm and got this

Yea I think there good numbers for what's done to the car. Considering from the research I have done cars with a similar setups using this cam make around 390rwhp 380 torque.

What intake do you have? LS1? LS6? i'm wondering cuz my Vette put down 409rwhp but i had some port matching and polishing on stock Z06 243 heads.

Bbk intake manifold, and I'm on stock 241 heads that have never been off the car.

Wow, I like that graph a lot. Good power under the curve and smooth torque. I was thinking about the 228R cam, and this has definitely peaked my interest.

Well 853 heads but there the same as the 241 heads right?

Yea my buddy had a TSP v2 cam same mods minus the pulley and only put down 397 and 377 he wasn't so happy lol. If you look at the graph it keeps pulling after 6400 rpms to it just doesn't fall off, so I'm sure it has more in it.

I like that it made 390rwhp at 6000 RPM. I don't want a donkey dick cam or spin the motor to the moon to make power. This looks like it should be a good DD cam too. How does it drive?

I have the rev limiter set at 6400 rpm and it only sees that high 3-4 times year if i go to the track. It drives just like stock, its all in the tune By the way for that was pulls were at 12.7-13.1 AFR and 28 degrees total timing on those runs. Now that we have a sweet base to work off of we will start tinkering for that few extra ponies and mine is a DD as well 300+ miles a week.

I have the 228r also
And I made similar numbers. Very happy with the cam
