Unhappy Not Again!!! FML

This is a picture from 2 days ago at G16

And this is what the car looks like as of 8:30pm today, Thanks to some jackass deciding to slam on there brakes because they missed there turn into Zaxby's

And for yall that have forgotten this is what happened a week ago last year https://ls1tech.com/forums/racers-lo...-5-2011-a.html . I had the SS towed to a body shop and will be going up there first thing in the morning to see what they say.

From the looks of it the core support is pushed in about 6 inches both fenders are busted along with the hood and the front bumper, headlight, fog light and blinker. I have not been able to look under the car to see what else is damaged but do yall think its fixable or is it going to be totaled out?

the cheaper these cars keep getting, the easier it is to have them totaled. Glad you didnt seem to get hurt bad, and keep a larger distance next time.

I do not know if i want them to total it or fix it but the truck in front of me slammed on his brakes as the car in front of him is the one that slammed on there brakes in the middle of the road, it happened so fast that there was nothing I could do, I left 25-30ft of black marks from slamming on the brakes.

Question

That's going to be a lot of work. Good chance the insurance wants to total it. How much does just an SS hood run these days?

Way to be a dick. They say to keep back 1 car length for every 10mph...who do you really know that actually does that? Thats right, not a ******* soul. Becasue if you are back 7 car lengths on the interstate in traffic 6 cars are going to get in beween you and the car you were 7 car lengths away from. I bet most people on here are guilty of following to closely and almost rear ending someone at some point or another, I know I am.

I have had my share of close calls, but I have never rear ended anything. I have always practiced following that rule even if it means slowing down to way below the speed limit to create a safe gap. I was at G16 and saw his car and have to say it is a nice Camaro and I hope he is able to get it fixed and looking good again. By law it is his fault, but mistakes happen and it sucks. Hopefully a little more caution will prevent it from ever happening again. Good luck with getting it fixed. Hoping the best for you.

I'm headed to the body shop, know and will know more once we pop the hood and see what it look likes. As far as who is at fault the officer said if the person that caused the wreck would of not left the scene of the accident they would of received a citation for causing the wreck. But since the first car left the officer said that no citation is going to be issued to me or the guy i hit and that it will just have to go through our own insurance. Ill post more pictures later.
