Default Vid inside-how slow is my bone stock 99 T/A

This is my first ls1 f-body, just did a full tuneup on it and there are no codes. My 04 GTO felt quite a bit faster. Its bone stock except for a few free mods 76k a4 2.73 rear. It won't even spin the tires if you try.

If you can't spin the tires in your RWD muscle/pony car you should probably sell it.

3.42 and retune set the shift 6200-6300rpm you'll think you added nitrous...
Are you sure your TB is opening all the way? I'm not joking I drove a couple of bone stock F-bodies with 2.73 but that was very slow 250-270rwhp maybe?

It definetly feels choked off, meaning like it sounds like its running hard but as soon as you open it more than 1/2 or so and gets above 2k rpm it feels like something is holding it back....clogged cats? Its faster at half throttle than at WOT also by a large margin.

Plugs/wires, air filter, pcv valve, fuel filter, oil change. Sadly most of the stuff I replaced was in good shape.

I thought you meant that you actually had it tuned. Compression / leak down test will tell the tale...

Taking cats off tomorrow, it gets full wot even w/ the mat in the floor, 76k. The half throttle feeling stronger is what gets me.

I remember when a buddy of mine and I went looking for to get him an f-body. We drove the crap out 10 different cars and were LS1's and stock. There was a huge difference between them. He ended up getting an A4 w/2:73s and it had troubles spinning the tires.

instead of taking off the cats just remove the o2 sensor after it gets hot and see if the issue goes away if not check the back pressure

I've experienced that very same thing in a chevy truck with 5.3 that turned out to be clogged cats.

You could check them with a back pressure gauge if you can get your hands on one. Like unit213 said, compression test and leak down test would be good idea as well. Theres quite a few things that can cause lack of power like that. i wouldnt spend any money on mods until you get it running 100%.

Do all the wheels spin freely with the car jacked up? Dont wanna overlook something dumb like a seized caliper or something.
