These are both of my buddies cars. The LT1 only had a cutout and an airfoil I beleive at the time. The DSM at a turboback, boost controler, K&N and a fuel pump.

Well the green Lt1 has had alot more work done to it since that race, but the white stock turbo dsm is still owning it by almost a second at the track. Don't hate on the silly launch, the dsm had street tires too!
DSM OWNS LT1...DSM a true domestic made in USA, not like a Canadian F-body.

f-bodys are not canadian, the lt1s and ls1 happened to be assembled there.
Dsms own hondas, as far as MODDED...ANYTHING modded enough owns something NOT modded enough.
"12.4 on street tires?" with AWD is that supposed to be good? there's hondas doing better than that out there sorry.
good job having more mods.

Sorry guys, but he's right. The fastest DSM in the world is 2 tenths faster than the fastest LT1 in the world. While I wouldnt' say they "own" the LT1, they definitely have the record for being faster (John Shepard's 8.7 second E/T at Englishtown in Jersey). However, there are plenty of small block Chevy's running in the low 7s- the motor that the LT1 is directly evolved from. The LT1's intake has proven to be pretty restrictive for the cars in the 9s, and once they go that far the owners almost always swap out their LT1s for stronger SBCs.
Anyway, nice race. DSMs definitely deserve our respect though, guys. Let's not turn this into a flame war.

Yeah i still have more mods to this day, which is probobaly why i'm faster, or with some good tires, that lt1 would be in the 12's too, but that good old rear might be a problem. Oh yeah, my car had a clutch also act 2100.
But still the lt1's seem very unimpressive unless they have internal work, which then they have great potential.

After that little 4G63 Mitsu engineering defect I don't think I would buy anything else they produced again. I ended up selling it to someone just to get the POS out of my garage lol.

A 95 is the worst year for crankwalk. If you were the to get a 91-92 1st. gen with a 6 bolt you wouldn't have that problem. ALso the car in the video has a 7 bolt with a 150,000 miles and it's still running strong.

Yea they defintally have there problems but they are cheap to make fast. The car in the video now runs 12.4 @ 110 and he has spend less then 5 grand on it counting the cost of the car.

Show me a honda on radial tires with = or less money in mods spent that runs 12.4
a stock lt1 can run a 12.4 it's called RX7. I'm figuring about that since a stock ls1 did 11s already.

i can have a $2000 car for free, don't have **** to do with performance though.
