Both are awesome cars. A friend of mine has a KB Cobra and a C5 Z06 and I have a hard time picking which one I like best (probably the Cobra). Nice of Steeda to come on here and be honest, too. Great race, GREAT video and editing. My hat is off to both of you.

I raced many cobras and the only time I've been beat is by one that made over 100rwhp more than I make. It seems like they have to make an extra 70 or 80 hp just to keep up. I love cobras, but ford needs to knock off about 200lbs and make them more slippery.(drag)

Hey I think your car needs a tune up or something, the idle is real rough
That is sick

Just to clear things up. Steeda was NOT aware that his belt was slipping prior to this race. In fact, he wasn't aware of it during the race.....it wasn't until after reviewing the video.
This "problem" has NEVER occurred before, and has also not occurred after the race. It was a totally random and freak thing.

One of the best racing videos I've seen. The first thing that went through my head when I saw this was the tall, I MEAN TALL gears on the Z06. He only went through 2 gears while racing... that's awesome that he still beat the Cobra going that low in the powerband.
Props to the Cobra, too. I love/hate those cars.

Cool video...good run guys. Nice rides.
This is very true. Happened to an old friend of mine in his 03 when he was making ~450rwhp in 5th gear around 160mph. He still has the piston...its pretty f'ed up.

I'd be roasting my pistons at about 160, thanks to Ford and their .001 piston to wall clearance and terribly insufficient cooling system . All that heat generated in the high load / high boost condition causes the pistons to expand into the cylinder wall. Doesn't happen all the time, but I've heard a lot of stories of damaged engines from the high speed runs, that's why we shut down at 130ish, that's the top of my 4th gear. I don't want to be running it in 5th.
