It would cost 10k more to own the cobra than most of those cars....yet it wouldnt take 10k to make any of them faster, figure that one out.

I hate the stock vs stock argument 90 percent of people buying either a f-body or a cobra are not going to leave it stock for to long . So the argument is a waste of time .

Especially in a couple of months when the gt 500's come out, pretty excited to see how they will perform, Ive heard low to mid 12's. With 500hp I wouldnt doubt it.

You must have missed the recent magazine articles.

I was expecting more... 12.8 @ 113? Something around those lines.

Granted you can mod the crap out of it and run much bettter. It's just heavy, which is a current depressing trend.

I get tired of hearing people say stock for stock the Cobra's faster, well, it has a supercharger stock! put a supercharger on a stock LS1 and it would spank the **** out of the Cobra. Face it, Cobra's are pieces of **** that are only fast cause they come stock with a s/c.

stfu. if anything the fbody should be faster because it has a bigger engine. isnt the line most people around here jerk off to "theres no replacement for displacement"? well if so how come the bigger engine and somewhat lighter car is still losing at the end of the race? also tell me where the ls1 would be with 18-20psi of boost where most cobra guys run theirs? oh thats right, either in the garage with cracked ring lands or lifted heads.

now i love the ls1. im even doing an ls1 swap. but you cant make up stupid crap like that, theres nothing shitty about the cobra. nor even a regular mustang.

You're obviously ignorant. What i'm saying is, you cant compare a supercharged Cobra to a LS1 because the LS1 is N/A. Plenty of crappy motors could beat a good N/A motor if you added a supercharger to them. Thats the point i'm tryin to make. Without the S/C the Cobra would be nothing, why do you think the non-supercharged cobra's get spanked by stock f-bodies non stop. Yes the LS1 is a bigger engine, but bigger cant always beat the smaller engine if they aren't both N/A
