Cool Radio Control WS6 - Pics Inside

I thought I would share this with everyone. I really wanted a fast electric radio control car that looks like my 02 WS6, but I've never found anything that is decent. However, I recently came across a clear Lexan body made by HPI. After a month of component ordering and lots of trial and error, I finally have built the RC equivalent of my car. It's based on a Tamiya TT-01 chassis, which made this very tricky because electric cars are 190mm and this body is meant for a nitro RC which uses a 200mm body. Here are some pics that I took today:

I've got a Traxxas Jato that I wanna get the WS6 body for. However, there really aren't a whole lot of bodies that'll fit the Jato without some kind of body modifications, which I really don't wanna mess with in fear of f-in' something up.

Black T/A's = Looks awesome. Nice job! Hey, are those little torq-thrust replicas on the R/C?

I've got one of those too on a nitro HPI car.

Chrome Senekas to match the real deal as well.

For this car, I just wanted something quiet to goof around with at car shows and in my driveway. Nitro is way more fun to play with, that's for sure...but I just wanted to go with a simple electric for this one.

I'm sure they were modeled after torq-thrust's, but that's not what they were called. Here is a link to them if you want to order some:
http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/WTI0001P?&I=LXKKV9

I ordered 6mm offset so that they would sit flush with the 200mm body on the 190mm frame.

It depends on what you already have, parts wise. I already had the batteries and charger for example.

Mind you I sold off a nitro Traxxas Revo for $350 so I had some extra cash to buy the parts for the WS6. I had to buy wheels, tires, the body, taller body posts, paint, and I chose a ready-to-run Tamiya TT-01 car which cost $125. There are lots of choices for cars some are more, some are less so if you are building one make sure you check them all out.

Anyway, it cost me about $220 to build it.

Gotta love Rc's. I have an RS4 Hpi Nitro, but back then I used to be hella intersted in s2000's so I have a s2000 body on it. Like the Ws6 body though. Maybe one day I'll paint one too and have it match my car.
