Holy crap does that suck. This is truely a huge shock to me even though I haven't watched his stuff for God knows how long. It totally put me in a slump-mood after an awesome weekend. Damn man.

RIP Steve. You were an awesome guy.

you know, i've been reading posts about this for the past 2 days since it happened, and it's really amazing just how many people loved this guys work and how fond of him they are. i heard they are considering having a State Funeral since so many people in Australia are morning his passing. i think it would be fitting considering how well known he is throughout the world and i think his family would really appreciate the jesture. just my $.02.

Their father is NOT selfish. I dont understand why you could say that to a man that has given so much to the world. He brought people to actually watch shows about the enviroment and made it enjoyable. He was a great person. Definitely someone I would have loved to meet. Unfortunately his life was brought short, but he was doing something he loved.

Being able to achieve so much while doing something you are so passionate for is something that is very rare for most people to achieve. God bless Steve Irwin and his Family.

Sam98WS6, I bet you think all the police officers that die in the line of duty are selfish too. It was his job, what he loved, and it took him from everyone. He'll be missed!

To the assclown saying Steve was selfish for doing his job: what do you have to say about all the firemen and policemen, Hell even soldiers out there protecting everyone who die in their line of duty? You're gonna sit on your *** and tell us every one of those people are selfish? You're a f*cking idiot.

It's weird, but his death upsets me more than any other celebrity/world-famous death ever has. Probably because he was such a genuinely nice guy with a true passion and was an extraordinary father. I still can't get over the fact that he's gone.

RIP Steve. You will be sorely missed by many around the world. May our thoughts and prayers be with your family.
