That was an incredibly slow 1000hp viper. Why didn't they run the Yellow RSI car there. I have a video of that runnin' 9.4 at 150. This viper quartered in the 130's, come on. There is no way a 1000hp car will do that. You could miss gears and still run faster.

He made close 1000hp and only ran a 9.6 @ 150 with a 1.8 60' time. I think part of it has to do with the independent rear suspension. It's very tough for those cars to get off the line.

Yeah. 150mph!!! He made about 12xx torque according to Ben. And Ben's Viper is pushin over 1000hp as well. Last I knew he quartered about 152ish if i remember. All the 1000hp vipers are either suffering some tranny problems like the RSI car has had, or runnin 150 or more in the quarter. We all know that trap speed describes the power a car has got. And this shows it didn't have anywhere near 1000. I've seen 650 horse vipers quarter almost as fast. If 450 horse stock vipers can quarter between 119 and 121, then when you more that double the horse power it should add more than 15mph to the trap. And no offense, but your name seems to fit. SomeDumbKid the launch always affects the E.T. a hell of a lot more than the trap. How do you think supra's get their wacky *** timeslips? They can't launch, but they have the trapspeed to prove their power. I don't think you know what your talking about. And when you start talking about IRS don't mistake the fact that Vettes and Cobras have been putting up some pretty good numbers as well and both of them run IRS.

If that Viper is making 1,000 hp and ran 135 mph it would have to weigh close to 5,400 lbs. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Razz]" src="gr_images/icons/tongue.gif" />

That is a sick *** Supra. I have no doubt that it is fast, however, I do doubt that was a 1000hp Viper. If it is, it ran the crappiest I have ever seen a 1000hp car run. That dude should be close to 8's with that much hp.

Re: Windy City Supra vs. 1000 HP viper....
how come people keep posting stuff about supra's running against cars with X amount of horsepower, when people know that it doesn't have that much power <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" />
but anyways that supra is fast <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" />
