You guys that are shifting really fast have you done the drill mod? My pro 5.0 feels too notchy to shift really fast. The stock shifter slid into grear super easy but the throw was forever long.

Faackkkk no. Drill mod is cool, but not necessary.

Side step the clutch and let 'er rip. Pro 5.0 shifter can't be beat. Notchy yes, but with a damn positive feel.

It just seems hard to hit a gear sometimes with the pro 5.0 and I dont want to screw it up. My last car which was a import sry to say lol it had a notchy shifter (B&M) which I didnt like over my stock 90 camaro shifter actually cause I thought it was too hard to go in gear. Any way I could shift it fast as hell. So either somethin is wrong with my tranny or clutch or I have to get use to the car cause today was actually the first time I tried to shift it really fast. I seemed to do ok with the pro 5.0 just not as smooth as I would like. For some reason I tried to shift into 6th fast a few times and 2 of the times I ended up going into 4th instead it pissed me off lol. Are you not suppose to be able to hit 6th fast or what I know its a highway gear so maybe they dont want you hitting it fast I dunno. It was nothing that over reved it really bad I just hate missing a gear.

I like driving all my buddies 5.0 Fox body stangs, Aftermarket quadrant and a firewall adjuster. You can slam the **** out of gears all day long even with the stock shifter. One car has a tri-ax shifter and 4.30's it a fun car to drive, not as fast as my car but definately fun. I drive it when ever I'm doing anything to my car and I can power shift that thing day after day, I can't remember the last time i missed a gear in it.

The clutch line that goes between the slave and master. On the master side the hole is really small and you basically just drill it out bigger. Go to installuniversity.com there is a how to.

I've never posted here but I lurk quite a bit. Trying to get educated so when I do get a LSx I'll know what to do.

Anyway, here's my contribution to the stick shift thread.
