Wow, I'd be pissed if that were me, I'm surprised he kept driving through traffic with the risk of the car shutting off every second. I'd make Cadillac buy me a new one definitely, that is, if I were so kind to even reconsider getting into another V after an experience like that.

sucks that its happening but...this happens with all makes and models. sometimes your unfortunate enough to get a lemmon...it happens. doesnt deem the entire line of car though.
ive worked for several differant makes in the service department and let me tell you, lexus and MB have the same issues that chevy and ford has. 10% of the cars made will have never ending issues cause it wasnt put together right from the get go...it happens. i just hope GM steps up and buys the car back from him...allthough, he did say if they didnt do anything he would post the vid up on streetfire...so maybe its an indication that they didnt buy it..lol...who know.

FWIW tht was my Buddy Chris. The Crank Position Sensor died twice in less than 12000 miles. When the CPS dies the PCM can't give the motor proper timing so it goes into "limp home mode" which is exactly what Chris needed it to do since he was over 300 miles away from home on his way back from PRI in Orlando. It was the weekend so the dealership was closed and Onstar said they might be able to get him a rental in a few hours. if he drove it to a dealership..... not likely in Tifton GA on a Sunday.

this is the kind of issues why i got rid of my V...
caddy doesn't help, the service departments in my area are a joke, that includes vera cadillac, praised among here... GM/cadillac/and their service are not helpful. I took a loss if i lemoned it, so i traded her in for my H2 lux suv. Im paying the same for a rig that hasn't given me problems since the moment i purchased it.
