how do i get my trans am to sound like this vette? what the hell does he have on it? I love how it sounds exotic in a worl full of old school rumble. Not that ld school rumble sounds bad, its just so common. Its the way all ls-ers go. I want to sound like this. How?

Figuring out what kind of mufflers he's running would be key. That and I'm guessing an X-pipe.

I have never heard a F-body ever sound like a Vette. IDK what it is, it could be the way the exhaust is run on vettes, IDK. What I do know is vettes have true duals with X-pipes. Stock F-body's do not. Although My F-body had aftermarket true duals with a X-pipe it never even sounded close to that. I have even heard F-bodys with different exhuast setups like B&B with Kooks 1 7/8ths headers, and it still sounded nothing like a vette with a similar exhaust setup. Good luck man, but I doubt youll make your f-body sound like that.

I'm heading striaght for that sound when i get my LS1.
I like my cars loud, unless it's going to be driven on loooong trips.

And i agree with 71' never really heard anything else sound just like a vette.

awesome I thought I was the only one that thought that. take a 00' vette and a 00' f-body and the vette sounds higher pitched to me. who knows, maybe my brain is fooling me cause I'm looking at two different shapes.

That Vette has the Borla Stingers on it, you can see them from the rear. The Stingers seem to be slighty higher pitched than other exhaust systems for the Vette's.

yea borla has always given an exotic sound. I got short tubed headers and a large y-pipe going on with high flow cats. I am waiting for my loudmouth ONE to get here. But i may trade up for a twin pair of borla stingers and see what the result is. Thanks for the comments so far guys and i have crappy mozilla browser, for some reason it blocks their quotes. I meant to say that was why i was asking

Yep... sounds like borla stingers to me. Other things you have to keep in mind are: more displacement than u (383), cam (unkown), and yes, an Xpipe.
