Anyone who would not let the customer do as he pleases will soon be out of business. And, going out of business is ignorant. If someone wants it that is what they get...free markets.

I'm pretty confident that Livernois didn't get where they are by screwing customers as SMOKKINU is implying. They already stated that they gave the customer cheaper options but he opted for the LS7. And why not.....now he has a rare car that is truly one of a kind. He's got a stock motor, stock drivability, and BIG power. Not everyone wants a max-effort dyno queen.

He now has a pretty quick car with stock driving manners and no rough choppy idle.

I think it's awesome. Would I have spent that much on it.... no way, but I also can't see spending the insane amounts of money some of the classics are fetching these days either. To each his own. Not only did these guys build a great car, but they did something out of the norm.
As far as the customer, I'm sure he's quite well off to have even considered such a venture. I'd also put money on the table that this was a business expense. This LS7 Firehawk can, and most likely will be a great marketing/advertising tool. He spent some money to have the toy he really wants and it's just another tool for him to make more money with.

Very sweet setup..
Probably could get another 10-15rwhp by replacing the stock air box. What I love about my LS7 is that it makes great power and run smooth without a big lumpy camp and sh*t in there

Awesome swap! Excellent work and customer service, both of which are very good reason that the owner would deliver their car AND engine to YOUR shop instead of a tool like SMOKKINU.
SMOKKINU, your comments expose your ignorance. I would remove your attempt at bashing, but they are actually strengthening the perceived level of customer support offered by Livernois.

If you have a problem with a shop/sponsor/person, take it to PM's or to the appropriate forum. THIS forum is for discussion of multimedia, not discussion of shop ethics/customer issues. KEEP THIS THREAD CLEAN from here on out or it will be locked, which I would hate to do because this Firehawk is SWEET!

I think the car looks great.
Great work by the installers.. nice and clean.
Someone said alot of people won't know the difference, and I say MOST people won't be able to tell if its an LS1/LS7 unless they are familiar with Fbodies.
Ive always wanted to drop an LS2 into my car, 400hp/400tq and LSx topend for $5400 ,
Not just for power, but to have a brand new motor with 0K miles...
but how much would it cost to fabricate and install the motor is what holds me back.... that and I would have to sell my Quadzilla 500R and Arctic Cat sled if I wanted to do it right now... gotta have my toys!
That would be priceless to race people and tell them its an LT1... then tell them the real story after...of course...
