Default Super cool speeding ticket

http://www.maniacworld.com/too-super...is-ticket.html

I see this after I got my speeding ticket on sunday...if I saw this before I might have laughed at the cop...which would have sucked hardcore...so don't do that.

$254 doing 80 in a 65 seem a little overboard to anyone? should I fight it or pay it...its my first speeding ticket (yep, popped my cherry)

Depends on what state you are in. Call the prosecutor's office and see if they will ratchet your ticket down to a fine and driving school.

i've had plenty of tickets and i went to court on the tickets i couldnt get fixed (having a former football coach as the sheriff helps alot) anyway i always plead not guilty, they drop it down to a lesser charge and i pay less money that I originally was quoted at paying, so if u got the time, save a penny or two

The pleading not guilty is a formality. It will 995 of the time get u a lesser fine or change. Almost ALWAYS worth it. GL

here you can usually bargain for driving school/defensive driving, you're only supposed to be able to go to a 4 hour class and a 8 hour class on your second offense, but they never check it, I know people who have been to the 4 hours class like 5 different times, and have 0 tickets on their insurance

LOL, funny video!

The only problem with pleading not guilty is that you generally have to miss a day or two of work, and then you have to pay something anyway.

everytime i have gone to traffic court i have plead no contest. with a good driving record the judge will usually withhold judification(nothing on your driving history) and at most make you pay the fine. yeah you have to pay, but nothing on your record is worth it IMO when it comes to insurance and possible jobs down the road.

What does pleading no contest mean? I've never understood that.

so Im new to this...I check the thing on the back saying I plead not guilty then what, they bandwagon me in a truck and waterboard me to death? Do I need to do anything after I do that other than send it in (e.g, they'll mail me back with some letter or something)

Hire a traffic attorney.........It's worth the money

I got busted doing 120 in a 55 racing an ///M3 and almost got arrested.........Ended up getting sited for 2nd Degree Negligence..........$540.........

My attorney fought it for me and got it reduced to Improper Lane Change and kept it off my record........only had to pay $110 to the courts and $450 to my attorney and my insurance wont go up and my license isn't in jeopardy

check to see if they have a deferral program....that means you pay a lil more for the ticket and it wont go on your license as long as you dont get another violation in 6 months. it works pretty good since all they want is revenue anyway..lol

Last month I got clocked by a Idaho State Trooper in a new Charger doing 120mph on the interstate and that was when I was slowing down. He said it took him 5 miles to catch up to me haha and I didn't even go to jail. I wont be doing that again anytime soon I assure you.

You're right but I wouldn't hire a traffic attorney just for a speeding ticket. I understand hiring one for drag racing though because I've had to do that twice. Luckily he was a friend of a friend and he only charged me 100 bucks each time. A traffic lawyer usually can just find a technicality with the ticket and get it thrown out. Thats what happened to both of mine.

You should have been arrested. If you were doing 120 in a 55 you are an IDIOT. Where I live they would have taken and impounded my car and arrested me for wreckless driving.

I haven't gotten a speeding ticket in about 10 years. When I did though, I never took action. I would just pay the fine and go to traffic school. Doing the traffic school would prevent it from going on my record and the insurance companies wouldn't know. So my premiums wouldn't go up.

if this is your first ticket, take it to the judge and pleade no contest(see previous posts). try and save the traffic school if you can since you only get so many of those in a life time.
