Could just be there are 3 stations in Vegas that sell 100+ octane and they were all sold out at the time.

I've ran out of gas before, but it was in a friend's car that I took home randomly. Coasted a 3/4 of a mile to the gas station and drove right up to the pump. lol

I bet that owner was just having too damn much fun in that car that he forgot all about gas level.

i know i chuckled because of the irony, 6 figure car with an empty gas tank. also laughed because i too have been stranded, not for gas, but a $10 part.
