Photoshop to edit, create, and resize the images. Then Adobe Image Ready to animate it.

Tony you need to make that sig four seperate jpegs and make each picture link to the respective webpage.

Example

Cool avatar. I tried it but I guess it is too big and a format that the site doesn't recognize

XLR8NSS, that was the original plan, but when I put a pic as a link in the signature it puts the ugly blue border around them. I'll have to play with it some

frcefed, all avatars must be .gif or .jpg and you can only make animated .gif files.

nope, not powerpoint. The image consists of 20 different frames. I created each frame in Photoshop by using the opaque settings 20% per incremental frame. This made them gradually fade over eachother. Then once you have all the sequence frames made, you load them into Adobe Image Ready and animate them by setting the time period between frames. 0.1 seconds each in my case.

then you save it as a .gif
