8" stacks no cats ---MARC---
Some video of my buddies F350 from today. Has a Banks programer, cold air intake 6" lift on 35s, and 8" stacks with no cats or mufflers...ran a 14.9 in 2wd @ 97mph

Because it's what he wants? And who says he's done with it...?
Makes as much sense as people 'de-tuning' their lsx cars to be 'sleepers'.
Anyway, pretty cool I'd say. With some more/better performance mods he'll drop his time down easy.

Where did your buddy get the stacks? I've never seen 8" ones aside from ghetto homemade ones, but those look like nice chromed Aussie style stacks
Also...was that really a 20 psi launch? I realize that having 4wd engaged really limits wheel spin, but a 20 psi launch is bad news on a stock transmission. Just didn't really look/sound like it from the video either.
Finally, from one diesel driver to another - tell him to ditch the bank$ chip...much better performance out there for far less money

Well i agree -- needs a cummins, but he's a ford guy...the pipes were bought from a semi shop and a custom splitter was welded together for them, the truck is mostly used for towing which is why a Banks program was used since it claims the most gains in power....but the only complaint with it is theres almost no smoke, not like an Edge programmer.....and the launch vid is not that great-got dark quick and wasn't expecting that

FYI Ford Bought out Cummins a few months ago. I think they said the 2010 year model super duty's will have the new cummins in it. It will still be an Inline six. Other than that no one knows. Dodge is going with Benz for their diesels.
