EFI is better in that you have absolute total control to manipulate the AFR and timing to what YOU want it to be. once you learn it you will look down on carburators. a carb is just a fixed AFR through out the whole RPM range, very short simple and to the point.... but lacks alot.

i'm sure if your an old time fart you are used to the carb and can tune that easier than it takes you to learn how to tune EFI. but face it, EFI is superior in every way...

Big deal if it's a CE....personally I think the '02 CE T/As are FUGLY, but like others have said it's his car and he can do whatever the hell he wants to with it.

Hope it HAULS *** when you get it to the track, bro.

That is something that will come later down the road. I had to put the car together on a very tight budget and that is the reason it doesn't already have one on it.

thanks jake

Car was tuned and ready within a few minutes of startup. I'm using a crank trigger ignition on it also to simplify the timing and for accuracy. Only draw back that I think this setup has is fuel economy. She's a lil' bit more thirsty than the EFI 346..LOL

I run an air filter on the street too...I'll get a pic tonite for you. Its 6" dia. K&N with a 5.125 neck on it that I clamp to the carb. The shortest one that I could find that mated to the carb was 10" long...I just chopped it in half and siliconed a new top on it.

Just some advice, I would figure out someway to mount the return spring on the throttle a little better than just hooking it to the ignition box bracket. I thought I might be mounted under it or something, but I can't tell from the pics. I had something like that set-up on my 80 camaro, didn't have a secure place to mount my return spring and it jumped of a few times from vibrations. I went down to advance auto and got a cheap throttle bracket with return spring already mounted to it from moroso for pretty cheap.

That looks really crappy on your car......

I know its power over looks...but at least get a ramair hood with more cowl room like VFN has

Lookin good man! Props on doing it to that car too, honestly! I'm curious why you removed the power steering pump but retained the power steering cooler?

So I take it CETA means Carb' Engined Trans Am?

I ******' love it. The fact that it hurts folks feelings makes it all the better. Nothing like a little controversy to ruffle a few tail feathers.

No need to replace the hose just because the PS isn't there anymore
