Default 1.21gs @ 120+MPH .......

Corvette C6 takes turn at 120+MPH

I hate that I didn't get the HUD in the shot, was kinda trying to hold the car, ya know? HUD read out 1.21g, speedo said 121-122mph, HUD said 122-123MPH before AH kicked in and I backed off before 11/10ths.
The C6 took a pretty sharp turn at speeds that alot can't even trap at in the 1/4 mile.

More power to ya buddy. I'd rather go 120mph in a straight line any day rather than a curve...

The curve looked pretty gradual, but it's hard to tell from that video since we never see the road.

I like seeing how fast I can take corners, well, when there's no one around at least.

at 100+mph, exactly how gradual is a turn? especially at 1.21gs. next time, I'll duct-tape the camera to my head and drive.

I would love to have a full vid setup in the car, though, I could do more driving and less holding the camera.....

I can't speak to the 1.21g's as I don't carry a G meter with me. I've taken many turns at over 100mph, but not all turns are created equal. Without seeing the turn you were taking, it's kind of pointless to post a video of it. Just my opinion.

i took a gradual curve at 145-150 in my C5 on a back road in S.D. coming back from Sturgis. I was shittin' bricks but it was pretty wicked i wish my car had a lateral G meter

Without a video of you taking many turns at over 100mph, it's kinda pointless to post that you have....just my opinion.

I am missing the part where 1.21g is displayed in the vid. I suck at the interweb.

it's in the HUD, not in camera sight, and yes I know, I know, that opens this up to tons of BS claims. I had both hands on the wheel and holding the camera, so the vid isn't the best or most informative in the world. The reason the above "could've just titled the wheels" comment is so wrong from one of the above posts it that active handling kicked in during the turn, about 120+mph, you can see it light up in the DIC and the camera bounce a little, this is the rear tires letting go a bit before correcting. If you think all I did was turn the wheel a little, get up to 120 mph and turn your steering wheel to the degree I did and let me know what happens..... I'm sorry if no one takes my word for my vids, I've posted dozens of my races, etc...yet I still get BS claims as to what I can do in the car. I post up for people who enjoy this stuff to get to see it and becasue I have fun doing it. It sucks to be called out about what I can and do in my car by some people who have never broken 100mph, drag raced, or even changed their own tires. I'm not directing this at you, ChevyWeatherMan...just venting and answering your question. Thanks for checking out the vid, though

Evil;
Which tires were on it when you did this??
Some are also going to call BS on the accuracy of the HUD g meter as well, but I'll bet it can't be too far off!

SO MANY underestimate/undermine the capabilities of these cars.

They would be AMAZED what they are capable of with just the 'right' sticky tires!!!!

Black Kettle? You filmed a poorly handled speedo for a few seconds until active handling lit up. I'd say that's FAR from conclusive. I can jack the *** end up on my TA and make it look like the world's fastest stock LS1 with your filming technique.

The Michelin PS2s , man those things are great, especially compared to the runflats. I've heard the HUD G meter controversy and the thing is, the only thing that makes it way off is if you have a decent amount of incline/decent around a turn. The shot in the vid is on a flat surface, which I think would give the closest results for the factory meter.

AH won't activate until your rear end is outta line with the rest of the car. I'm not going to turn this into a flame session or argue my point. I agree the filming wasn't the best in the world and I would love to have a camera mount setup.
