Default Beware of "FasTimeSS".

I bought a set of rods from FasTimeSS (Patrick Glonek of Fort Worth, Texas) on the classifieds section. He claimed they were Lunati Pro Series "LS" 6.300" connecting rods. I took a chance on this purchase, because he was only asking $400 for the set. A new set of Pro Series LS rods cost $1400, hence the reason I took a chance on these. I received these rods on the 9th of this month. I then, contacted Lunati and provided pictures of the rods for them to verify what they were. A Lunati tech confirmed that they were not even a Lunati rod. Below are screenshots of the email conversations and private messages exchanged, between myself and FasTimeSS and a Lunati tech. I will also provide links to Lunati's website that confirm the 6.300" Pro Series LS rods were introduced in 2010.

Here is the link to the sale thread: https://ls1tech.com/forums/parts-cla...ds-6-30-a.html

This is the email conversation with the Lunati tech.

This is how a received the rods. They were tossed in a plastic sack with little packing at all.

This is FasTimeSS trying to convince me that these were Lunati rods. NOTE THE DATE. Also NOTE what year he claims these rods are.

This is the official announcement of the release of the new Lunati Pro Series LS 6.300" rods. Note the date underlined in red.
LINK: http://www.lunatipower.com/News.aspx?id=43

This is proof that the rods have 3/8 bolts. Note the reading on the micrometer dial.

I filed a claim with Paypal. The claim is nearly complete. All I have to do is send these rods back.

You should stop with the Bullshit and Get your facts straight before you have a civil slander case on your hands.

You have talked to the wrong person at Lunati who obviously hasnt been with the company more than 5 years.

My LUNATI PISTON and Connecting Rod SET was purchased over 10 years ago after looking at my machine shop invoice. Yes, it was under my impression that these were bought in 05-06' but it was more like early 2000. MY BAD! Yes that was my fault! I have worked with you and issued you a FULL REFUND before you filed a claim.

The pistons and RODS have both been back to lunati for weighing after i trashed a piston last year, So they could make another. So they would FORSURE would not have fixed them if they were not their own brand ''lunati'' right?
But the fact Stands that they are lunati.
get your facts straight and talk to the right person @ lunati like ive told you in the past, ive dealt with Shearer @ Lunati/Diamond.

A civil slander case? You should get your facts straight before trying to sell something. So, please tell me are these rods Lunati Pro LS Rods 6.30", 05-06 pro series rods, or early 2000s model rods? A picture of a Lunati piston shows a lot of proof that these are Lunati rods against my proof. I filed a claim against you, because they aren't in fact Lunati Pro Series LS rods. My research above proves this clearly. I was contacted by Paypal yesterday the 14th saying that they favored me in the outcome of the claim. They said I had 10 days, from yesterday the 14th, to send your rods back. I already have a tracking number for the shipment. I followed the Paypal claim procedure exactly as I should have. You did not refund any money at all. That is the other reason I filed a claim against you. I filed a dispute the day I received the rods, because I knew they weren't what you had stated in your thread. You refused to come clean on what they were, and kept posting links to Lunati's Pro Series LS 6.300" rods in your sale thread. The Lunati Pro Series LS 6.300" rods are 2010 and newer, which is also in my above research. As far as your above speculations to me being a scammer, that's funny and incorrect. Most people on this forum know how long a claim takes. Maybe you should stop digging yourself further in a hole.

I actually find that Tech's email funny because I know for a ******* fact Lunati has made 3/8" thread rods. Lunati makes a great product, but apparently has shitty tech support.

Those look a lot like Lunati rods to me as well, even the tech acknowledged that.

You're definitely wrong about them not being Lunati rods OP, or at the very least, your reasons for them being wrong, are wrong.

Lunati even sells 3/8" replacement ARP rod bolts on their website.

http://www.lunatipower.com/ProductGr...?id=181&cid=15

If these are from the early 2000's as mentioned earlier, read this and note the dates

https://ls1tech.com/forums/generatio...rod-bolts.html

You obviously did not do as much research as you seem to think you did.

However, the way FasTimesSS packaged them is pretty ******* garbage honestly. Selling someone a $400 set of rods and throw them in a plastic bag with a box? Why even bother with the bag at that point, good god.

I'm not sure about the date of the Pro Series etc. but I would probably also lean in LCWs favor for that. Again, I'm not really sure about that one, but I'm thinking FasTimeSS perhaps mistakenly called them that when he meant Pro Mod rods?

Just to clear it up I talked to the tech from Lunati over the phone about their Pro Series rods, which in fact use a 7/16" rod bolt. Either way this all got resolved, because I sent the rods back due to having no use for them.

So Lunati makes more than 1 series rod. He bought a Lunati Pro series rod and received an older Lunati rod that isn't a pro series rod. Could be a mistake could be a scam. If they in fact weren't what he said they were refund the money with the returned rods. Problem solved.
