Mike06tork (Bad Engine)
I purchased a 427 Lsx engine from Mike Castro ready to run. Went to put it in my car after I had sold original running engine. Bolted flex plate had 38 thousands end play. The engine was totally shot $3,800.00 dollars later boring 30 over new Pistons bearings valve job resurface heads. Ship crank off to have welded up because thrust bearing wiped out. Watch out for this guy untrustworthy sent him pictures all along the way of the engine tear down. He said he would make it right and now of course can't get ahold of him. My cars been down over 2 months thanks Mike real stand up guy guess that's how yall do things in Texas!!!

Yes for the amount of money I paid him it really sucks. Glad I got to finance his new turbos and engine. I guess it's just to much to ask to man up and do the right thing.
Ready to run!!!

You may have gotten a bad 454. The thread has been deleted (it was there last week when I was looking into this) but it did say something about a previous motor went down because of a bad head gasket. Can the mods get this thread brought back to life (found using google cache search).

There was another thread that specifically referenced the blown gasket in the 454 but that too has been deleted.
EDIT: I feel like it was this thread that the gasket was mentioned.... https://ls1tech.com/forums/forced-in...urbotruck.html (found via google cache search)
EDIT #2... I found it!!! 454 with water leaking from head stud. Old thread but that damage looks old as well. Admins will have to revive since this thread was also deleted in the last week or so. https://ls1tech.com/forums/generatio...head-stud.html
Mr. Mike.... as a fellow Texan I most certainly do not approve of what is going on here. Stop giving Texans a bad name!

I looked at his profile and posts when this was first posted as well. Specifically there was a mention of a backup motor being used because one was hurt. Hopefully the mods can help make this right.
