Default Scammer warning - tim01

Heads up y'all don't do business with this individual. I have a WTB thread in the parts classifieds. He sent me a PM today saying to send him an email about the parts that I am looking for. I found it strange this person wants me to email them instead of discussing through PM. I noticed that this person joined ls1tech today and have zero posts so I considered that all to be a big red flag. I googled the name provided as well as the username and found out this person is a scammer and was banned on another forum. Hope this prevents someone from getting burned.

Yeah he sent me a pm too. i said no to moneygram. his response:

I do understand your concern and I also would be careful when buying any item sight unseen, but I'm a God fearing and sincere veteran of over 45 years of age, I'll never rip-off anyone of their hard earned money as I work hard for every penny I earn. I would have loved to accept payment via Money gram as my PayPal is currently dormant. Money gram is also strict and secure as PayPal, I would need to tender a recently paid utility bill bearing my home address and a recently paid utility bill so payment can be traced if anything goes wrong.

I got a similar scam PM from that account

"Let me know via email if you still need the
3200ish stall for 2000 camaro 4L60e.

Cuthbertkwan@outlook.com"

I would never just start conversing over email. It was a dead giveaway. Especially his reply. LMAO. Let me know via email if you still need the part "3200ish stall" LMFAO.

He sent me the same message on my wtb add again! This terd is relentless. He goes by similar uncreative names every time

Ruff01, Cuth01, and Tim01

There are 3 separate warnings for the same idiot.

Its very easy to figure out hes a scammer, but he might just get someone thats new to the site.

Whenever it says "Let me know via email if you still need the <insert thread title>" You know it's a scam. Same thing happens on Craigslist.

I got one from user pca21 and had me email him at dondpace567@outlook.com. Pretty fishy since the user had 0 post and joined the day I made the post. Anyway I shot him an email for the heck of it, he wanted to sell me an LS7 block and at not even that great of a price. I told him I wanted to see the block in person and pick it up, never heard from him again.
