100 minimum posts is descriminatory!
Maturity please.
plenty of ways not to get scammed, several i already posted and have been rule of thumb for years. HOWEVER, there is NO WAY to completely fix the problem.
the only people that will complain are the guys that don't have 100 posts. go figure
i don't like to post on hear because someone always ends up saying "your price is too high", "you need to consolidate your posts", "use the search button", "WHATEVER", there are as many rude people on hear as there are some nice guys......for one i have never seen nine ball flame anyone but i don't have time to sit at the computer and "fight" with some idiot on the other end.
i like to read the posts and you can usually search and find whatever answer you need, someone has almost always had the same problem before, but forcing us to get on hear and post when we don't need to may be asking a little much.
even if you ban someone, what we go from 20 posts to 0 and start over under a new name? i mean, what did you guys think would happen?

you've been a member for 1 year more than me, but have almost 1400 EXTRA posts.
you either have a LOT of questions and comments, or not a lot to do on your time off.
by the time this thread is over though, i'll have my 100 in.
someone please, please up (ttt) my headers in the for sale section please, since i'm unable to get them back to the 1st page.

That my friends is DESCRMINATION!As you say in your "disclaimer" anyone could be a scammer regardless of the number of posts they have made. You are contradicting yourselves! If it is "buyer beware"thenwhat does it matter? The only thing you moderators can do is boot them off.
This web site nor its' DICTATORS are held accountable if someone gets stung
anyway.Hellooooooooo!
Maybe a special tag, that allows you to put something up in the for sale section. To get the tag you have to have a verifiable PayPal account, and/or phone number and/or address... Just a couple of ideas.
if i were to pay 8000 for a motor over the net, i would have to have name, rank, and serial number, color of mothers underwear......i mean you've got to protect yourself for god's sake. have some common sense.
i've never done paypal, but that seems to be as safe as any other, but i almost always try to do 3rd party especially if i am the one sending the money.
there has to be a sponsor somewhere out there that would be willing to do a swap for a fee, for a friend, or something. i don't know 1% fee, 5% fee, how much would YOU be willing to pay to make sure you received an 8000 engine?
just because i don't post doesn't make me a newbie
any question you could possibly ask has 99% of the time already been asked more than once.
It is obvious from other member threads that no one can stop scammers.NO ONE!Whether a person has 10,100,1000 posts still doesn't stop someone from scamming. As far as headaches go no one forced the "administrators" to start this web site. These problems come with the territory.Yes the admins make the rules but how long has this web site been active? Now suddenly there is a problem with scammers.I am not a scammer nor should anyone under 100 posts be treated as such.Whenever i have posted parts for sale I have either put my e-mail address and/or my telephone #.To me that shows that I am pretty legit. If people are so concerned with buying on the internet then get off the internet and buy somewhere else.If a person doesn't accept paypal ,don't buy from them.IT ISALL UP TO PERSONAL PREFERENCE.NO ONE IS TELLING YOU TO BUY FROM ANYBODY!It is common sense HELLOOOOOO!
