Default TooSlowFiveOh issues (resolved)

EDIT: JUNE 1st 2005, IT HAS FINALLY BEEN RESOLVED.....

https://ls1tech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=216599

I purchased those wheels with an agreement of including the shipping costs. Took forever to get them, and finally when they arrived two of the four were damaged. I took that up with the trucking company. They denied the claim. I do not have an issue with you about this, as I am taking it up with the trucking company. My issue with you is the fact that you had LS1speed ship the wheels, and NOW I JUST GOT A BILL for the shipping costs this last Friday. The freight company TOLD ME that you specifically said BILL TO RECEIVER. Answer your e-mail, as you owe me some money.

It's possible there is a miscommunication between Tim and Speed Inc. I'm sure one of them will clarify.

It is not Speed's responsibility. They were shipping them for him since they were friends. The point is, I already paid for the shipping of the wheels when I purchased the wheels. Now, I receive the bill for the shipping charges. I called the trucking company, they said that the shipper put the receiver was responsible for payment. I then called Speed.... (This has really nothing to do with them... I did not purchase the wheels through them... Tim just used them to ship the wheels..) and they said I have to take it up with Tim since it was not their responsibility... which I agree with. I was just asking them though if Tim told them to bill me or what?! It was hard to get a hold of Tim in the past, that is why I am posting here. Like I said, I got screwed by the transport company on two of the four wheels had damage. That is not Tim's problem or fault.... I however am NOT responsible for the shipping charges. I need Tim to either paypal me or send me a money order for the shipping charges, so I can pay the transport company. I refuse to pay them myself. I can provide him with a copy of the bill no problem.

This is why speed doesn't like to ship things for people. Now they were in the middle. at least you aren't trying to take it up with them Good luck to you though man, i'd be pissed too.

Yeah, like I said... It is not Speed's responsibility at all... I know they were just helping out a friend. I have absolutely no problems with Speed Inc. I have ordered stuff from them in the past, and have always had excellent service through them.

Yeah, I called several times. I left a message also, with a call back number. I appreciate the help!

Yeah, by NO means am I dragging Speed into this!!! They have absolutely NO responsibility in this matter... All I was doing was giving the details about the situation... Just trying to be factual as possible.

Tim is a nice guy, I have never once said he was a bad person, etc.... I just want to wrap up this transaction asap! I did not say he was a bad seller, or anything to that extent. I am just giving the facts of the situation... I just want this resolved, and trying to do so as fast as possible.

I talked to him, and he said he was going to talk to Speed Inc. because he had given them money for the shipping.

Sounds like Tom@ls1speed.com handled the other transaction that had some problems.

Here was my TooSlowFiveOh (Tim) experience:

A refund was eventually rewarded, but only after some ignored emails, and having to go through SilverGhost (a freind of Tim's, who vouched for him in the F/S thread), to get him to take action. I purchased a set of 7 pistons from him, one described as having N20 damage. When the package finally showed up, 3 or so weeks later, inside, I found only 4 pistons (one with the N20 damage), a few piston rings, some $.02 china pieces in individual boxes, and some Thanksgiving paper plates and table cloth (New/wrapped). Hard to believe, eh? I was pretty ticked, my wife was absolutely furious. I took some shots of everything, as well as the package, per my brother's (who's also my attorney) instructions, and forwarded them to Tim, along with a I will take legal actions warning. Finally, SiverGhost got him to reply to me. He seemed just as puzzeled, but who knows whether or not he was just acting. Another couple weeks after I was told I'd get one, I finally received the Paypal refund. Sorry to burst your bubble SilverGhost, but there's definitely a pattern here.....the tampered with (it was very obvious) package was shipped by Speed, Inc. Who knows what the hell happened, or who was at fault. Tim never got back to me with an eplaination. In all my online experiences, I had never experienced such a thing. Again, I don't know the cause of it, or who was at fault, and place no blame on anyone imparticular. Just my TooSlowFiveOh experience. Take it for what it's worth...
