I bought a hood quite a few months back, never gotten around to getting the hood. Well since my car has been in the shop for atleast 5 months now, I decided to sell the hood. The guy I purchased the hood from agreed to ship the hood out to the buyer. Well its nearly 2 months now and the guy still has not shipped the hood out and has said in the last pm he sent me that no money will be going back to anyone until he sells the hood and someone picks it up. Here a previous conversation between myself the the original owner of the hood, I sent SKS355 the buyers address on 11/15/07:

The only thing with shipping it is I don't want to be reponsable for any damage. But other than that we will do whatever you need to get it done. thanks Steve
Well, because it is my hood, and it is my desicion, the reponsability is on me. I have no idea where to go to ship a hood or any of that. I can get you his address and you can get a shipping quote, if tha tis fine with you. When/if the guy pay-pals me, I will send you more then enough to cover the shipping qoute.

I greatly appreciate the help. Thank-you kindly.
No problem, Just PM the info and ill get some quotes for shipping and we can even do frieght collect so he has to pay when the hood gets to him. Let me know.
thanks Steve
Sounds good. As soon as he sends me his addy, I will talk to him about that option. I would feel alot better about him paying the shipping company then just getting a qoute and hoping the price dont change.
Yep frieght collect is much better cant get screwed if the quote was off,
the addy is 21967 W Morning Glory St. Buckeye,Az 85326.
the quote from R and L carriers was 105.13
I recieved the payment for the hood. The buyer is gonna pay the shipping upon delivery. Below is the buyers address. Thank-you much for helping me out. Let me know when you get it shipped and have recieed the tracking numbers for it. Again, thank-you for taking time out of your day to help me out on this

I should have it out Monday I get off at noon tomorrow and Dont go back till Monday.
Ill PM you the tracking number when it goes out.
thanks Steve

Where ya able to get that out today?
No, Im having trouble get a box and a pallet and it will fit on and no get messed up. I'll let you know as soon as I get it out. Sorry its a pain in the *** to find something to get this thing to fit into something lol. I get you the tracking number as soon as R & L Carriers picks it up.

Hey bro, any update on this? The guy who bought the hood gave me a call and I didn't have the internet at my house so I gave him your screen name to get an update. Let me know. Thanks
I talked to him we are working something out. With the shipping.
The guy who bought the hood pm'd me asking about the hood. I thought it may have been shipped out since I havent heard anything from anyone in awhile. He is asking for either the hood to be shipped out or the money back, which I cant do right now.

What is it going to take to get this hod shipped out? The buyer is paying for the shipping upon delivery. Is their a number I can reach you at instead of going through the forums? I ve dial-up now and its about as slow as the blue-hair down the road.
Sorry I haven't got back to you in awhile my son has been in the hosipitle since last Saturday I down in west palm beach at St. Marys right now. The guy who bought the hood said he was going to find out about getting me something to ship this hood in and never got back to me, I have it but I live in Port St Lucie and work in West Palm Beach now, So I have to have something to put the hood in and ship it out the day I bring it or my boss will be a bitch about anything being there. I will be going back to work the 2nd Of January and if you know anyone close to West palm beach that can get me something to put it in or pick it up, other than that im going thru some hard times at the moment, Let me know what we can work out thanks Steve.
Sorry to hear about thngs. I will get onto Need2speed and see if anyone is able to help out at all. I am not sure what all is needed. Also, just touch base with the guy, he says he is willing to wait a bit for the hood and he really wants it, but he just wants some sort of answer and something to look foward too.
no problem, Ill let him know that we'll get something worked out, again my sorry for this whole mess, but will get it done and gone. thanks Steve
At this point I recieve a messege from the buyer stating that the original said he will be getting the hood to me so I can take care of it. This is the messege i sent to the original owner of the hood and the responce I got.

I recieved a messege saying that you werent going to ship the hood out and you were gonna get it to me so I can ship it out. I have no way of going there and getting the hood nor do I have anyway of meeting you somewhere. If you want to travel over here and drop the hood off, that is fine. I need to get this hood out ASAP. If this hood isn't able to be shipped off, or brought to me, I think the best thing to do is for everyone to get their money back and for the hood to stay where it has for the past couple of months. Let me know.

Thank-you
The way any money is getting back to anyone is if I sell the hood again and someone picks it up and I can send you the money that way, Other than that it will stay where it is till someone comes and gets it.
Let me know. if that what you would like to do.

Now SKS355 has relisted the hood for sale and he is stating that he is selling it to get this guys money back to him..... https://ls1tech.com/forums/showthrea...507&highlight=

Correct me if I am wrong here, but since he could not full-fill his agreement, and it took him just a few days shy of 2 months to figure this out, he should man-up and set things right.

I guess I have learned that now, I shouldn't have sold the hood without actually having it in my hands... but this is also why I asked SKS355 if there would be any problem with having him ship it out. If you read throught the PM's, you will see that he promised to ship it out, apologized for not shipping it out and then gave me his word that he would ship it out again. Then the story's and excuses start coming into play. Then he tales me that no one wil get thier money back until someone picks the hood up, which he already knew would not be possible by either of us. He then proceeds to re-list the hood for sale and even includes a (or best offer) in the sale without notifing anyone about it, and then says he is doing it to get the buyers money back. So what would have happend if someone offered less money on th hood? Just sounds really wierd. Plus the fact that both myself and the buyer have requested a contact number via PM and niether one of us have recieved a contact number. I truely feel that the person that could not hold up to their end of the deal should be the one to set the issue straight. It obvious that niether myelf nor the buyer will be getting the hood, 2 months is plently of time to set-up shipping of a hood, its really not this difficult to do. I have shared many PM's with GDBY2U and I believe that him and myself are on the same page.

I also noticed that the for-sale ad is no longer up by SKS355 in the sale section, but is still up for sale in the Fla section. That seemed to be kinda odd as well, since both threads were placed at te same time. I am giving the benefit of the doubt and assuming that the mods had deleted the ad. I really hope this issue is resolved in a timely fashion.

send the money back to the guy that bought it from you.. then have it shipped to you.

no reason to hold the guys money that is waiting for it to be shipped. once he recieves it, he can pay you then..

that was one of the most confusing posts I've ever read

It may have to come down to that, and yes it is very confusing.... problem withthat solution though is the fact that the hood cant get shipped out at all. If i could get shipped to me or if I had a way to pick it up, then it would get shipped out to the buyer. I believe everything is gettin worked out through PM's, I know SKS355 is a good honest person, it is just hard to trust people on this site after a period of time.

GDBY2U - I am headed back up to the hospital with the little one so it will be a few days before I am back online.
