Yes, it should make it like new again.

Make sure you use high performance synthetic DOT4 fluid from a sealed contained, and do the drill mod to the clutch line while you have it out.

Yeah you might as well do the drill mod and then bleed it out good.

Had the same problem before, relocated the clutch line as far away from the header collector as possible and wrapped everything in heat tape, then changed the fluid (dot4) and no problems. Might as well do the drill mod too!

im gonna start with the drill mod and the dot4. is there a kit that comes with bigger lines for the drill mod or is it a custom thing?

Actually there is a replacement for the clutch line that is longer so it can be re-routed, and it has a larger inner diameter, thus no need for the drill mod. My tuner found it and hes putting it on my car as we speak. Ill see If I can find out where he found it. Says he saw it here on tech.

so it kills two birds with one stone by rerouting it away from the heat and making the lines bigger?

Sounds like a great upgrade for people having sticking clutch/shifting problems (like i've had). Post up the details about this when you find it!

Actually I found details-turns out its too good to be true. Its only compatible with the tick performance master cylinder so if you want to spend 320 bucks go right ahead.
Sorry to get yalls hope up. Im pretty disappointed myself.

I'd just do it right and get the Tick Performance master cylinder (ESPECIALLY over the McLeod, since its known to leak) if you can swing the added cost. Its a nice unit for sure.

Ya but hey if it works! I wish I could weld Id do it myself. I haven't seen anyone complain about the RAM unit. If my new clutch doesn't work it'll probably be the route I go. Hell I could by two and have change left over for the price of the tick.
If I had the money though I would get the Tick.

EDIT: And I could have it in 2 days through summit!

Why bother? Its a MODIFIED STOCK UNIT. All they do is make it adjustable, and maybe the drill mod, not sure on that...I did that to mine. Took about 15 minutes...

so just for ***** and giggles, since just about every engine part from the ls6 is compatible with the ls1, i was wondering if the ls6 tranny will go right in place of what ive got now. ive heard its a better tranny and doesn't need the drill mod, but does it fit without heavy modifications? and is it even worth it?

Not possible. Besides, the drill mod has nothing to do with the tranny itself, and I believe the internals are the same as the F-body T-56.
