It should feel like you are able to "slip the clutch" when launching in order to keep rpms higher when launching.

if its working, trust me, you'll know. you'll be able to press the brake, and gas at the same time and it will go to a higher rpm before the tires spin, also when you floor it from a dig it will get really squirrely really quick

a loose stall will feel like your pulling a 2000lb trailer around in normal driving. But when you hit the gas (and if you hook) it will feel like a semi truck just hit you in the ***

the looser the stall the more gas you have to give it driving normal. when i had my 4400 my rpm's were at like 3k just taking off with the flow of traffic from a stop light. if you have a big stall i hope you have a built trans!

Sounds like it works to me. You should have a lot of torque off of the line. Anytime you stomp the loud pedal to the floor it should flash the converter to whatever the stall is set at. If you don't have a trans cooler then GET ONE! Converters add heat to a trans and trans coolers only cost $50-$60. This is a must have with a stall! Plus later on a shift kit isn't a bad idea either usually around $100-$150. It allows more fluid to flow through the trans and extends the life of the trans not to mention firm up the shifts.

One way to kinda tell (depending upon tires and traction). Is to hold the brake and press the gas slowly to see how high your rpms can go.

If you floor it going about 30 or so, it should flash to the rating of the stall too. However, my tach is pretty smooth and i can't tell where it flashes to or the tires ust spin, so mine just jumps to about 4-5k and pulls from there. (own an ss3600)

Here's the description of a 3600 from a low rpm start to high rpms. Slide, Slide, Slide, rear ended by a train.

racing from a stop it will roast the tires on the street. Also it will keep the rpms high in between shifts and not fall off so much as a stock converter.
