I see a lot more WS6's around then Formula's. I don't have the production number but I am pretty sure there were much less Formula's made.

Everyone's has different tastes. I like the look of the Formula better personally but everyone is different.

You can't go wrong either way!!! Good luck.

Maybe that's because the WS6s stand out while the Formula's blend in with the V6 Firebirds?

According to the above link there were 6567 Formula LS1's and 29,089 Trans am WS6 LS1. Pretty significant difference don't you think?

Again, either way you can't go wrong!!!!

Very nice site for some historic numbers. I see that in 2001 there were quite a few less Firebirds made than in the other years and I'm sure there is a reason for that. How did you get the numbers you posted, did you add them up yourself? Some quick pounding on my Windows calculator yielded some completely different numbers, but then again, there is the beer factor involved on this end at least!

I'm new here and just purchased an LS1 today. Try to buy from an individual. I bought a one owner 2001 NBM Trans Am w/54,000 miles for $7900!!! He just bought a 2008 BMW 335i twin turbo and just had the T/A sitting, so he wanted to price it to sell. I know this is not an everday deal, but it does happen...I've been looking for a couple weeks and had cash in hand ready. It's a buyer's market right now.

I still can't believe how nice this car is. The guy even threw in a set of Boyd Cottington Smoothie II's he had in the garage. The stockers are on the car now with the original Goodyear GSC's. It even has Lid, Hooker LT's, SLP Y and Loudmouth.

Good Luck!

I think either one is a pretty decent deal as long as I can jew them down some. Both cars have almost exactly the same mileage, I really want the WS6 but is it worth the extra 2400? Is'nt the firebird lighter than the WS6? I know the WS6 has a better exhuast and suspension set up but I plan on modifying all that stuff anyway. Would the firebird be cheaper on insurance? What do you guys think
Just for that buy a ******* v6 mustang
