That's great and all, but now try taking that stalled A4 on a road coarse.

Exactly how many cars on the road can get 30+ mpg anyway? I know your not trying to sit up hear and tell us your manual LS1 is gettin it. I love it when V8 guys start complaining about gas mileage. If your worried about that you bought the wrong car.
Prior to this A4 I have now every performance car I have ever had in the past has been a manual. Manuals can be fun, I can see there advantage on a road course like someone else mentioned. But for flat out strait line speed this stalled A4 ain't no joke. I don't miss the manual at all.

M6 I prefer my M6 so must that i bought the car just after i had LEFT knee surgery(cut shin bone and screwed back together).... I still walk funny, but i love to drive my car home every day.
I would have bought a truck if i wanted a boring drive everyday... A4's and stalls are for the track i prefer road coarse...anyone can drive in a straight line

A4's for drag, M6's for autox. Or if you're like me you could care less about the extra second in the 1/4mile and keep the 6spd. It's your vehicle, it comes down to your goals and mine are having fun in my car.

Actually there was a thread on this forum not too long ago that addressed mpg. There were quite a few manual ls1's getting close, if not over 30mpg highway-myself included.

Mileage depends on what speed your going, stay at or under 70mph and an M6 will hit 30+ mpg easily.
As far as consistency the A4 is better overall but a seasoned M6 driver can be consistent aswell (I've hot lapped my car on 3 runs and stayed within a 10th). Regardless the fact is a stalled A4's while potentially faster requires very little skill to master, The same can't be said about a Manual.
