Yea when I swapped intake the AIR is definately not connected to the manifold. Maybe it's a 98 thing.

Do you know how a 2001-2002 responds with regards to not having EGR when you plug into the OBDII port?

Not to hijack this thread, but I got a 00 with a LS6 intake with no EGR provisions. If I simply remove the EGR stuff and block off the port on the header and have a tuner set it to "not ready", it will count as my 1 error.

Does anyone know who the 2001-2002 LS1 responds (when it doesn't have ERG...ie...what does the OBDII say)?

u will have to have a tuner tune it out. its all u have to do. doesnt hurt anything to remove EGR just throws the SES light

01-02 doesnt have EGR and will not throw EGR codes since the stock computer set for those cars is factory tuned to no EGR

01-02 doesnt need EGR due to a better cam profile

yes just get a bolt with two washers big enough to block the whole, and a nut. but then after that the same principles apply again, if you remove something that was there from the factory you will have to get it tuned out of the computer as well!

I'm about to take this **** off my car as well. These pics really help you get a view on things, The parts in blue is the small vacuum line that goes to the back. I'm probably just going to put a small screw in the line to plug it up, instead of messing with the back.

GL

Oh yeah, this set up is on the 2000 models.

Correct. They have a different cam and intake manifold. Engineers left it out since the cam was smaller I guess, less heat in the intake - EGR isn't needed.

I think the line on the back is only on the 01 and 02 models but I'm not 100% on that
