Basiclly you will need to install the block off plates on the headers. You will have to unclip the rubber hose that hooks up both headers from the rear of the intake manifold, held on by a plastic c clip. you will also either have to disconnect the air pump or have a tuner shut it off for you. Also the light in your dash wont come off till a tuner comes in and deletes all the smog related pieces in the computer.

you can make the plates with a 1/8 inch peice of metal. drill two holes in each end for the bolts. your ses light will light up if it has not already due to the headers.

So you need to block off the header spot for the egr and air but will you also need to block off where it went into the back of the intake?

if its an 98-00 intake get a 1 3/8 freeze plug for the intake manifold where the egr commes into the top of the intake make a block off plate for the air and its simple and easy and get a vaccum cap for where the air line is on the back of the intake i did mine and it only cost me $1.50

where exactly is this AIR line on the back of the intake? is it near/under the diverter valve looking thing?

and i just did headers on my car and left all of the air stuff on except where it goes into the manifolds so right now it's just pumping air out of the hoses on both sides of the engine. does this still cause a vacuum leak?

it is on the very back of the intake manifold in the center. have to reach back there to get to it which is kinda a bitch

may cause a vacuum leak since the air injection also uses vacuum from the back of the intake. not entirely sure. because the air coming from those hoses is coming frm the air pump

okkk.

i didn't feel like pulling the whole pump and everything out so i just left in for now. if it's not causing a leak i may just leave it for a while. otherwise it'll come out tomorrow hahah.

im not so sure of the back of the intake there talking about ive got a 99 and never plugged anything at the back of my intake, my buddy made me some block off plates out of 1/4 aluminum and i just ripped everything off and put the good ole freezeplug in and drove it to the tuners to get it deleted and today i took the heavy pump out ive heard and witnessed air pumps making a knocking noise after egr delete if you dont tune it out

yes there is a nipple on the back of the intake that should be plugged after removing the AIR injection. take the pump comepletely out if u are worried about a knocking noise. never heard of that though

I have a 02 WS6 if I remove my air/egr then will it affect my air lid since there is a hose going into the side of it. Could I delete my air and then plug the hole in my air lid? would I have any problems. I really am wanting to delete this and clean up the engine bay some. Can someone please help?
