Default Tb help

hey guys a buddy of mine gave me his BBK 80mm TB nothing special, came off an 02 t/a had cam n20 tune and such. so i tried putting the tb on once i started the car the rpm's stayed around 2k and dropped slightly. the car sounded like it was camming, if i gave it some gas the rpm's would rise and take a while for them to go back to 2-1500k rpm's. is there some sort of adjustment i can make? can anyone help me out with this

here are a couple camera phone pics of the tb

loosen up the wire that goes to your tb and adjust it to the right position.

or insall it and make sure that the tb isnt open make sure the knife is fully closed if its not then do what i said and adjust the wire.

Yup there you go for some reason i couldnt think of the name but yea its the throttle cable.

follow the one that is connected to your TB and there should be a little clip that you can click on and adjust the wire.

its real easy

if there are two holes drilled into the tb, then that might be your problem. Even with the throttle blade closed all the way, those holes might let in too much air.

I think it might have been drilled for a cam.

maybe you can buy a new throttle blade from bbk? Pull the throttle shaft out and have someone weld up the holes? You could use a small nut and bolt and put through the holes, but that is going to dissrupt air flow. If it only has the shaft on one side, put the nuts on that side. Then countersink a screw into the other side. I would do this just to check if that is the problem.

if the blade closes right when installed in the car and everything...
maybe its one of the sensors on the tb that may be doing it?
see if they can be swapped out and use the original ones if you haven't yet.

make sure there it a good seal all around try to use it without the spacer if that solves the problem then your cable is on too tight and its like if your pushing on the gas.

Its the holes in the throttle body. Did you try plugging them yet?
