Default Can you ID this part???

Hey guys,

Looking to see if someone knows the name of the plate that goes between engine and trans. I think it's the dust cover or something. I've been looking for a while now and haven't been able to find anything. I'd appreciate any help. Also, I installed everything in my car already and don't have that plate/cover or whatever the heck it's called. Anyone know if I can stick it between the engine and trans without completing taking my power train apart? Any help or advice would be great! I can supply a pic too if that would help. I can see my clutch when I'm underneath the car looking from underneath the engine to the front of the bell housing. Thanks again!!!

Craig

Are you taking about the auto trans cover that hides the stall? That's the only part I can think of. A GM parts dealer can point you in the right direction.

that has to what he's talking about because on the clutch cover there is no access cover. also you cant bolt it up with out the clutch cover on it. here is an exploded view of that area. hope this helps. http://image.highperformancepontiac....LLET10zoom.jpg

Actually, I'm talking about the mating between a t56 and ls1. Not a 460le auto. Do you have an exploded view like that one for the t56???

I'll go take a pic right now. Thanks guys!

A small plastic cover goes on each side. A4 and M6 covers are different shapes.

Can I throw them on after everything is installed like that? Do they bolt to the side of the engine or what? Any help is appreciated. Thank you!

Yes, you can put them on last. As far as I remember they have two bolts for each, the small bolts with 10mm heads. Pretty sure they bolt to the engine.

On my A4 to M6 swap I had to trim these a bit to fit them on.

My A4 car doesn't have them installed.

Great! Thanks a lot. I'll go to the dealer tomorrow...have quite a few parts I need anyway.
