get it dynoed. You'll be pleasantly surprised. These cars were underrated from the factory. With an M6 you'll be in the 310whp range, give or take.

You can probably get there with a lid and free mods.

I'd guess even a 98 automatic shouldn't dyno under 280 whp. If you're not already there it's not gonna take much at all.

Wasn't there just a stock bird dyno thread in the dyno section? Made right around 300 I think. If not, just get yourself a lid, ported tb and ls6 intake. Right around 500 bucks and would put you well over 300 rwhp.

My simple lid and catback`98 M6 Formula put down 300 RWHP 322 RWTQ @ 109K miles while still on the Original clutch.
I don't put much stock in dyno numbers as they are really only tools for tuning.
The dyno was a Dynapack and I was told it measures similar to a Mustang Dyno

Buy a lid, LTs, ory, and a catback and I'm sure you will be at 320.

I would think you would already be very close to that. I say, install the regular bolt-ons and be happy with your 320-340 whp range.

Any catback without Flowmaster mufflers. It's been a long time since I saw the FTRA; if it doesn't come with a lid, you need one. All lids give the same hp increase. Do not use a K&N filter -- SEARCH for why not.

It's certainly a matter of opinion, but I don't think FTRA is at all "worth" the money. I'd get a lid and catback and be done with it. With an auto car, though, I certainly would add a stall no matter what hp level I wanted. That would be my first real mod even before catback.

thats a 98.. supposedly the lowest HP models..

you should be VERY close already...

100$ for a lid and 40$ for a cutout will put you over your mark..
