Default Emission questions

Ok so I am putting my 98 Trans Am back to stock, I bought it with Pacesetter off-road headers and I want the emissions to be back on it. Im just hoping for a tutorial what to do with replacing the headers. What tools will I need?, wat parts will I need?, what to worry about when removing them?, what else to take off if I have too.

Also I know where the smog pump goes but I have never seen one in place to get an idea how to mount it.

Pictures would really help

Thanks in advanced

remove coil packs/plugs/wires/whatever the blocking plate above the oil filter is called. unbolt the headers, get the front of the car nice and high and they'll slide right out the bottom. slide the stock stuff in and reassemble everything. i don't know where the emissions stuff goes.

make sure you have a nice assortment of 10mm wrenches/sockets and extensions to get the bolts on and off. that's the most time consuming part. other than that it's not bad.

there's a bunch of tutorials on here if i come across em i'll post them here

why don't you just buy some cats and weld them on the back of your long tubes ? yes i know they will be less efficient because they are allot further back but if you heat them up you should have no problems passing emission. you will save yourself allot of time. good luck.

you could still weld them up. and you don't have to keep them there. pass your emission and take em off.
