Default New LS1 owner

Just got my LS1 camaro last august, I had a 91 a few years prior. Had to junk it after my mom let it sit for three years in the elements, and everything dry rotted under the hood. Anyway, the passenger side cup holder, does that thing lock in place or just spill your drink every time you get something in there? Thanks to anyone who actually gives this the time of day.

Congratulations! Mine kinda locks into place, I've had some big drinks in there and they didn't spill, enjoy the car!

Congrats on the car, the holder should settle in a notch when its sitting right... That in mind though these car were probably not designed with cup holder ergonomics as a top priority...

Ive had drinks bounce out of the back seat cup holders, but not passenger side holder. Hope you get that solved.

I had a large drink in the main cupholder (middle console) and when I shifted from 1st to 2nd WOT, it flipped and landed on my back seat once. Stick to the 20 oz bottles unless you baby it

It's never an issue till I'm ordering lunch for my wife and myself and then I throw her drink over there on the way home for work. Just wondering if it was supposed to lock into place, guess not.

That sliding cupholder will lock into place, I use it all the time but it is possible to sling a drink out of it if you're not careful. And the center console cupholder works great for change. Which I expect to be short on since apparantly everybody voted for change and well, the government doesn't give out free stuff to people unless working taxpayers pay in. Sorry, got a little off track there....the passenger cupholder should kind of snap into place.

I couldn't even use mine with the stock shifter. Whoever designed it there was an idiot. you can tell it was a last min. decision.

lol thanks to whoever finally said it should pop into place, mine didn't. I finally just yanked the hell out of it and it kind of popped....works fine now. When in doubt beat the hell out of it.
