New to site. Just bought WS6
Hello everyone,
I just bought a 2000 Pontiac Trans Am WS6. It is currently bone stock. I drove 600 miles round trip to pick it up Its fully loaded as far as options go. i love the car but I am looking for more power. I plan on starting off with a LID and exhaust. My first goal is to get the car in the low 12's reliably.
MY first MODs: LID, Full Exhaust including electric cut-outs. Does anyone have any suggestions?
Also,
what do you think about an extra set of black rims ? I am open to all suggestions on what you guys think will look good.

Welcome to the site!
If you want 12's: Lid, LT Headers, Exhaust, ls6 IM (since your car is a 2000), P&P TB - you'll have enough to hit 12's , IF you have good tires lol
For wheels/tires all depends on your budget. I would suggest searching the website because everyone has different opinions. Good Luck!

Congrats man, welcome. I just bought a 2000 WS.6 as well, drove 574 miles round trip for mine. Well worth it for a ws6 and for a manual transmission. There were a lot of regular trans ams with automatics around here but I really wanted the WS.6 and am glad I made the drive. I debaffled my hood scoops, put a K&N air filter, lid, smooth bellow, port and polished throttle body, and have a magnaflow cat back. Its pretty fun. If you have any questions about modding or maintenance let me know, I've been through it all since I bought it in august, LOL. Even dropped the tranny by myself!

Welcome to the site. What is your budget for the exhaust? A lid and a ls6 intake manifold is a good start too, also look into a fast toys ram air. http://fasttoys.net/shop/product_inf...products_id=28
Here's some pics of my black z06 wheels from thunder racing.http://mycarpics.shutterfly.com/213 http://mycarpics.shutterfly.com/214

I'd like to spend under $1200 dollars for a complete exhaust. I do realize headers can be pretty damn expensive. I want to do full bolt ons and then later down the road spray it. Long term goal is 11.5 in the 1/4.

Headers and good catback will help, tires will also make a big difference on the track. Save your cash or put it towards something other than just getting "black" rims. If your looking to put down better times, the color of the rims won't matter.

New Plans: LID, LS6 IM, Ported Throttle Body, Headers, Y-pipe, Cat Back and a Dyno tune by SloHawk Performance.
Then If I get some good tires I am hoping for a solid 12.8 in the 1/4 mile.
I was also thinking about getting the Bird on the front license plate and the trans am logos on the door black. What do you all think?
Thanks everyone for chipping in.

personally if you just wanna hit 12s i would get your lid, the ls6 intake, a cat back, and go to a local performance shop and price out getting the heads ported completely with larger valves and a custom grind cam, a good set of tires, and then save up for a complete exhaust down the road... but thats just me
