This is pissing me off. Okay I am a very proud owner of a 98 A4 Formula. 
Everytime I go to the local hang out place with nothing but firebird owners I always get bashed. Everyone says that the Formula is the slowest firebird every built. I keep telling them to f**k off but they do it everytime. I have never been to the track but I have made some good kills and I know the formula's are not slow. From what I have heard from several guys they tell me that the Formula is actually the sleeper of the f-body's. It just waiting to be woken up. I even waxed a 98 TA that the ******* kept bragging about. I told him that the T-A's have as much as 300-500 pounds more to push than the formula. And they run the same motor's. The T-A is just a different front bumper cover and a different spoiler with GFX. Im getting tired of being bashed and I just want to hear it from you guys. Do you all think that Formula is slow and the T-A is far superior like these losers do. Or do you think like I do and know that it just needs a wake up call. I even get called slow by the v-6 birds 
that I wax every single time.

Your formula is lighter but it also depends on what options you have. The car is supposed to be quicker because it is slightly lighter, but it always comes down to the better driver. Your basically a firebird with a v-8 which isnt a bad thing.

An LS1 is an LS1. You've got one fast car. I only chose the WS6 for its looks (ram air hood). They're full of s***, and I think you know it. AZLS1 may be right about them pushin' your buttons. Remember, money talks. Take enough from them - they'll shut up.

I checked out the pics of your car...looks good. Very clean. Don't let those idiots bother you. You need to get a lid & a catback at least. That'll wake your car up a bit and you can throw a rev at 'em to remind them that it's an LS1.

Hey man, I had a '98 formula with a factory ws6 package. Aka it was a fancy formula with a nice *** hood and the badge, slightly difference suspension and gearing. Formula's ARE one of the faster cars out there, due to the weight difference. An ls1 is an ls1 is an ls1, just like DD said. Weight difference is the main catch, and its a hell of a catch. I used to smoke T/A's all the time cuz they thought I just had a ram air hood. Too bad they got to read my ws6 badge after the fact lol.

I think those guys are yankin your chain man. Anyone that has an LS1 car knows the power they can produce and in a light weight car they can be lethal. Like you said they are sleepers use that to your advantage. You can add a few bolt-ons if you want but old man cam and headers and y-pipe and even get a shot of nitrous. I would keep your stock catback and get an electric cutout that way you can be stealthy until its time to kick some ***. What they said above is true I bought my WS6 because it just looked bad *** but I could have bought a cheaper car and used the extra money I paid for the WS6 for mods.

They have to be messing with you,I looked at your pics, you have a really clean car, that is lighter than the T/A with the same exact motor.Why even waste your gas on a V6, they are decent for what they are but no match for an LS1.

the hell with em man, nice lookin car, i always like the basic look of the formulas, nothing really catchy, but they will bust some *** when u need to...nice car...those guys are tools that think ur car is slow..nevermind them..just tell'em talks cheap

Those guys are ******. Your car is sweet, man. And you know it is. So don't even worry about it. Like these guys said, go out, get a couple of fairly cheap mods. I kinda think like you. I have a 2000 Z28. It's black and all the badges are black, so it's not obvious what the car is unless you look at the exhaust. I have the cheesy 16" wheels, plain hood, nothing special. Very subtle. And I love it. Cops don't look my way. It's great.

From what im hearing around the A4 trans site. First thing to do is get a Torque Converter. Saying it will make an LS1 faster buy a .5/.6 in the quarter. Think thats a good start to kickin you ole buddies asses! Or hell if they **** you off that bad knock the **** out of em! IMO..

I wouldn't worry about it. At one local hang-out spot, some of the guys think mine is a slow V6 because I don't have any badging. But I know what I have. :p

Get a GMMG chambered exhaust and no matter what they say you car will not only look sweet but sound BADASS compared to theirs!! And you'll gain a few more horses to stomp their asses with.
