If your an A4 you can add a shift kit, stall, tranny cooler

Also you can put a lower tempeture thermostat on there 160 or 180*

Ok, in the first picture in the diagram the engine mostly sucks up warm air that's floating around in front of the air box and gets sucked in through the front of the air box.

In the second picture it shows how the CAI works. It gathers air from the bottom front of the car which the car is already diverting up there for the radiator.
