Naw man I wouldn't worry about it, I'm at 95k here, just had to change some gaskets while doing it but everything looked clean knock on wood lol. I would say go for it, do you know how the car has been treated in it's life though?

cams are lookin at bein around 250 used up to around 500 after tax and shipping with a custom cam....heads on average are going to be 1100-2500 for a decent to exellent set depending on what you get (used maybe 600?)....the tune should be 400-600 pending on where you go, labor, i will take a stab in the dark and say between 1200-2000.......these are all ball park estamates, things may be cheaper or more expensive, but that should give you an idea.....o yea....dont forget to add money for gaskets and prolly pushrods (safety)....shouldnt be more than 350 for that

If you only got 2k to spend, then you better be doing ALL the work yourself. A set of semi - decent parts will run over 2k or a little over, good parts will be way over. If you wanna go fast for a budget, just get a good dry n20 setup. Should see low 12s.

If your car is a daily driver, I wouldn't do any mods to it other than basic bolt ons unless you got a big wallet. Remember the old saying: fast , reliable, cheap. - pick 2.
